Kanye West Brings All Four Kids to His Yeezy Fashion Show Comeback in L.A.

Kanye West didn’t walk back into fashion alone on Wednesday night. He brought his whole crew with him — and by crew, I mean his kids.
The 49-year-old rapper staged his first Yeezy fashion show in four years in Los Angeles on November 4, and the front row looked a lot more like a family reunion than a fashion week afterparty. All four of his children were there: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7. For a guy whose public life has been one long headline for the past few years, it was a deliberately softer image. Dad first, designer second.
And honestly, that might be the whole point.
A Family Night at the Show
North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm don’t usually all turn up to the same event at the same time, which is part of why Wednesday felt different. The four kids — Kanye shares them with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian — sat together to watch their dad unveil his new collection, a rare all-together moment for a family that usually gets photographed in pieces.
North, the eldest at 13, has been inching further into the spotlight herself over the past couple of years, popping up at fashion events and on stage. Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and little Psalm, 7, are still mostly kept out of the glare, so seeing all four in one place, at their dad’s big night, landed as its own kind of statement. Whatever else is going on in Kanye’s world, the kids showed up for him.
Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, was across the country. She spent the same evening in New York City, spotted out with a longtime famous friend while her ex-husband was holding court in Los Angeles. The two have spent years now carving out their own lanes — hers in reality TV, beauty and law, his in music and fashion — and Wednesday night was a neat little snapshot of that. Same night, different coasts, both very much doing their own thing.
Season 01 and the Four-Year Wait
The show itself was called “Season 01,” and the name does a lot of heavy lifting. This wasn’t just another collection. It was a relaunch — the first Yeezy fashion show since Paris in 2022, ending a four-year gap in which the brand went quiet on the runway while its founder’s public life got very loud indeed.
Four years is a long time in fashion. Trends have cycled through twice over since Kanye last put on a show. The Yeezy name itself has been through the wringer in that time, too, with the Adidas partnership collapsing in 2022 and the brand effectively going independent. So “Season 01” reads like a reset button: not Season 9 or Season 10, but a fresh start, back to one.
That’s a bold move for a designer, and a telling one. Most fashion houses cling to their numbering like it’s a family heirloom. Starting over at one says you’re not trying to pick up where you left off — you’re trying to begin again. Whether the fashion world is ready to let him is a different question, but the room in Los Angeles on Wednesday night certainly seemed willing to find out.
No Runway. Just a Hill.
If you were expecting a classic runway, you’d have been disappointed — or delighted, depending on your taste for spectacle. There was no straight catwalk. Instead, models walked in circles around a big white hill that sat in the middle of the space, looping around it again and again while the audience watched from the sides.
It’s the kind of staging choice that either looks like genius or like a art-school prank, and Kanye has built a whole career on living right on that line. His Yeezy shows have always been more performance art than traditional fashion presentation — remember the models standing motionless in formation, or the shows staged in near-darkness. A white hill in the middle of a Los Angeles venue fits right into that playbook. Simple, strange, and impossible to ignore.
The clothes themselves, for now, are almost beside the point. What people will remember from Wednesday is the image: the rapper, back on a stage of his own making, with his four kids watching from the front row. Fashion is the vehicle. The family photo is the story.
Bianca, Big Sean, Kid Cudi and the Front Row
Kanye’s wife Bianca Censori was there too, and — true to form — she made sure nobody missed her. She turned up in an extremely low-cut jumpsuit, the kind of look that guarantees its own round of headlines the next morning. Bianca has become a fixture at Kanye’s side over the past couple of years, and her outfits at his events have become almost as talked-about as the events themselves. Wednesday was no exception.
The guest list read like a roll call of Kanye’s musical world, past and present. Big Sean was there. So was Kid Cudi, whose on-again, off-again friendship with Kanye has been one of hip-hop’s longest-running sagas. 2 Chainz, Rich the Kid, King Combs, ASAP Nast and Natalie Nunn were all in the room, along with creator Quenlin Blackwell. It was, in other words, a proper turnout — the kind of room that tells you people in the industry are still watching, whatever they might say in public.
That matters. Fashion comebacks live or die on who bothers to show up, and a half-empty room would have told its own story. This one was full.
The Long Road Back
None of this happens in a vacuum, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. The four-year gap between Yeezy shows wasn’t a creative sabbatical. It was the fallout from a stretch in which Kanye made antisemitic statements in public, lost major business partnerships, and — as recently as 2025 — was selling swastika shirts. That’s not ancient history. That’s the recent past, and it’s the shadow hanging over everything he does now.
Earlier this year, he tried to address some of it directly, taking out an ad in a January issue of The Wall Street Journal in which he spoke to the people he has hurt. It was an unusual move — a full-page newspaper ad as an apology of sorts — and it landed exactly the way you’d expect: some people saw a man trying to make amends, others saw a publicity play. The truth, as usual, probably sits somewhere in the middle.
Wednesday’s show is the next chapter in that same attempt. A fashion show doesn’t undo anything, and nobody in that room was pretending it did. But it does ask a question that the culture has been wrestling with for years now: what does a comeback look like for someone like Kanye West? Is it a slow rebuild, one show at a time, with his kids in the front row? Or is the door closed for good?
The answer, for now, is that the door is at least open a crack. People came. People watched. The clothes got their moment. And the photos that will circulate from the night aren’t of a scandal or a meltdown — they’re of a dad with his four kids at his own fashion show. That, more than any outfit on that white hill, is the image Kanye would want you to remember.
What Comes Next for Yeezy
Whether “Season 01” turns into a Season 02 depends on what happens next, and fashion moves fast. A single show can be a one-night moment or the start of a real return — the difference usually comes down to whether anyone’s still talking about it in a month, and whether the clothes actually sell. Kanye has never had trouble getting attention. Turning attention into a functioning fashion business again is the harder part, and it’s the part that sank plenty of celebrity labels before his.
He’s got a few things going for him, though. The Yeezy name still carries weight, even after everything. The aesthetic — muted tones, oversized silhouettes, that whole dystopian-minimalist thing — is still instantly recognisable. And Wednesday proved he can still fill a room with people who matter in his world. That’s not nothing. In fashion, sometimes it’s everything.
For now, though, the night belonged to the family. Four kids, one dad, one very strange white hill, and a brand trying to start over at one. Whatever you think of Kanye West — and everyone seems to have an opinion — you have to admit: he knows how to make an entrance. Even after four years away, even after all of it, he still knows how to get a room to look his way.
