The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 18 Cast: Who’s Back, Who’s Out, and When It Airs

Atlanta is heating up again, and the peaches are already on the move. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is filming its 18th season, and if the cameras, the cast trip, and the group photos are anything to go by, the gang is mostly staying together. Bravo hasn’t made the renewal official just yet — and yes, that part matters — but nobody waits for a press release when the ladies are already boarding a plane together.
Here’s the deal. The women have been spotted filming the new season, and earlier this month they jetted off to the Bahamas for a cast trip, with some of their husbands along for the ride. That’s not a cast in flux. That’s a cast clocking in. And after a season that gave the franchise a genuine jolt of energy, it makes sense that Bravo would want to keep this particular group exactly where it is.
So who is actually back? Let’s get into it, because the lineup for season 18 looks a whole lot like the lineup fans just spent a season falling back in love with.
The short version: don’t expect a mass exodus. Every year, the same dance happens. Rumors fly, a “source” claims half the cast is out, fans panic, and then executive producer Andy Cohen steps in to pour cold water on the whole thing. That happened again this time around — Cohen has already addressed casting rumors that turned out to be untrue. His message, in so many words: relax.
He’s even said on the record that this cast isn’t changing anytime soon, and honestly, why would it? The current group found a rhythm that a lot of long-running reality shows never find again after a rebuild. The friendships feel real, the fights feel earned, and the show stopped feeling like a collection of strangers reading each other’s résumés at dinner. When a cast clicks like that, you don’t mess with it. You point the cameras at it and get out of the way.
That doesn’t mean season 18 will be a drama-free zone. Please. This is Atlanta. But the drama, whatever it turns out to be, looks like it’ll come from the same eight women — plus one very familiar friend — who carried the last season.
The peaches holding their spots
Start at the top with Porsha Williams, because any version of this show without Porsha feels a little less like Atlanta. She came back to the franchise after time away, slipped right back into the center of it, and has been its loudest, funniest, most quotable engine ever since. Porsha is the rare Housewife who can carry a serious scene and a screaming match in the same episode and make both feel completely natural. She’s back, she’s filming, and the show is better for it.
Then there’s Phaedra Parks, and her return remains one of the best comeback stories in the whole franchise. Phaedra walked away years ago, and for a long time it seemed like that door was shut for good. Instead, she’s back in the mix, dispensing southern shade with a lawyer’s precision and a preacher’s timing. Fans never really stopped asking for her. Now they don’t have to.
Drew Sidora is back too, still juggling music, acting, and a personal life that never seems to give her a quiet week. Drew has always been the cast member whose storylines feel the most unfiltered — the marriage stuff, the career stuff, the friendship fallouts — and that honesty is exactly why she keeps earning her peach season after season.
Shamea Morton Mwangi rounds out the core group, and her journey might be the most satisfying of all. She spent years popping in as a friend of the show, the fun guest who everybody loved but nobody quite built a season around. Then she got the full-time upgrade she deserved, and she ran with it. Shamea brings the kind of energy that makes a cast trip watchable all by itself.
Angela Oakley is back as well, and if last season proved anything, it’s that Angela is not here to sit quietly and nod. She says her piece, she holds people accountable, and she does it while standing next to her husband Charles Oakley, whose presence alone changes the temperature of any room he walks into. The two of them, navigating family life after the loss of Angela’s mother, gave the show some of its most grounded moments.
The newer faces who stuck
Not every Housewife survives her first couple of seasons. The Atlanta audience is famously picky — beloved one year, forgotten the next. But the newer additions to this cast have all managed to carve out real space, and they’re all back for more.
Kelli Ferrell, the chef and restaurant owner, has turned her business story into one of the show’s most relatable threads. Balancing motherhood, dating, and a growing restaurant empire while dodging Atlanta drama is a lot, and Kelli does it with a sense of humor that keeps her from becoming the group’s punching bag. With her oldest daughter heading off to college, she’s walking into a new chapter, and that’s exactly the kind of real-life shift that makes for good television.
Pinky Cole is back too, and honestly, the show is louder and better with her in it. The entrepreneur behind the Slutty Vegan empire has lived through a wild business ride — building a company worth a fortune, losing it, and fighting to buy it back — and she brings that same bold, no-nonsense energy to every group scene. You always know where you stand with Pinky. Sometimes that’s a compliment. Sometimes that’s a problem. Either way, it’s great TV.
And then there’s K. Michelle, the singer who arrived as a newlywed with a Billboard-charting career and zero interest in playing it safe. She’s not new to Atlanta, and she’s not new to reality television, but joining this group full-time gave her a fresh stage. She came in ready to build real bonds with the ladies, and by all accounts, she did exactly that.
Plus, in the friend-of role that she has basically perfected, Cynthia Bailey is back keeping the peace. Cynthia is the franchise’s original supermodel and its unofficial diplomat — the woman who can sit in the middle of a screaming match and somehow lower everyone’s blood pressure just by raising an eyebrow. She’s been the steady hand in the storm for years, and season 18 looks no different.
What filming so far tells us
The Bahamas trip is the biggest clue we have, and it’s a telling one. Cast trips are where seasons are made. They’re where alliances form, old wounds reopen, and at least one dinner goes completely off the rails. The fact that this group already took theirs — husbands in tow, cameras rolling — means the season is well underway, not just a rumor with a group chat.
It also tells you something about where the group stands with each other. You don’t take a cast trip with people you can’t stand. Well, actually, on this show you absolutely do, and that’s half the fun. But the vibe coming off this trip has been more “group getting closer” than “group falling apart,” and that’s a promising sign for a season that needs to top a strong one.
There are also the husbands, who deserve a mention here because Atlanta husbands have a habit of stealing scenes. Charles Oakley is back in the mix, and other partners joined the trip too. If history is any guide, at least one of them will say something at a dinner table that the women will be talking about for the rest of the season. That’s not a prediction. That’s just how this show works.
The famous names who aren’t expected back
Of course, no Atlanta cast conversation is complete without the ghosts. NeNe Leakes remains the name fans bring up first, and her recent appearance alongside the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebrations only turned the volume up on that conversation. But there’s a difference between showing up for a celebration and picking up a peach full-time, and nothing so far suggests NeNe is rejoining the Atlanta cast for season 18. Hope springs eternal, though. It always does with NeNe.
Kenya Moore is another name that comes up every single season, and her situation is more complicated. She departed midway through filming a previous season and was reduced to a guest role after a controversy involving a fellow cast member. She wasn’t part of the last season’s core group, and there’s no sign of that changing for season 18. Sometimes a door closes and stays closed, at least for a while.
And Kandi Burruss, who walked away after a decade and a half to focus on her businesses, her music, and her life outside the Bravo bubble, remains happily out of the picture. She built an empire before the show, during the show, and after the show. She doesn’t need a peach. The show, at this point, seems to have accepted that and moved on.
So when do we actually get to watch it?
Here’s the part that requires a little patience. There is no premiere date yet, and given how Bravo schedules this franchise, fans should probably pencil in 2027. The last four seasons all premiered in the spring, so a spring return feels like the safest bet — but that’s a pattern, not a promise, and Bravo hasn’t confirmed anything.
That gap is normal, by the way. Filming in the fall, a trip in the can, months of editing, a trailer drop that breaks the internet for a weekend, then a premiere. The machine moves slowly, but it moves. And if the wait feels long, that’s because the last season set the bar high. The good news is that the group responsible for clearing that bar is the same group currently filming the next one.
So consider this your early, unofficial season 18 outlook: same peaches, same energy, new trip, new mess. The renewal announcement will come when it comes. The cameras, as usual, got there first.
